It’s that AWESOME dessert we had over the Father’s Day weekend.
My sister-in-law, Jenna, makes these. They’ve become a staple item at all our family functions.
I can’t begin to tell you the depths to which my soul SINGS when I eat these. It should be against the law to devour them in any public place. The sounds one makes when eating them can be somewhat inappropriate. I’m telling you, it’s bad…really bad.
This is why I HAVE to share this with you. Our family can’t be the only ones completely embarrassing ourselves while we eat.
Jenna’s Cheesecake Bars
2 (8 oz.) cans crescent rolls
2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese-softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup margarine (1 stick)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray. Press 1 can crescent rolls into the bottom. Blend the cream cheese, 3/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp vanilla and spread over top of dough.
Put the second can of rolls on top of the cream cheese mixture. Melt margarine and add the other 3/4 cup of sugar and teaspoon of cinammon. Spread over top layer of dough.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes until bubbly and bottom crust is slightly brown. Cool in refrigerator completely, slice and enjoy!
Peace, love and funny noises!
