I love to eat fruit all year round, but the truth of the matter is that the summer months are when fruit consumption is PRIME!
Strawberrys, bananas, grapes, kiwi, pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon and on and on and on…
Who doesn’t love the refreshing taste of ice cold fruit?!
But…sometimes your fruit just needs a little boost. Say…when you’re having friends over and you want to give them a tasty treat or light dessert, but don’t want to go overboard.
This dip is one that we’ve made in our office for years and it never gets old. It was originally donned “Grape Dip”, but it’s amazing on ALL fruit.
The best part is that it’s 3 simple ingredients that virtually anyone could have on had and only takes a matter of 5 minutes to put together and serve.
Even better…it can be made completely fat free and low calorie!!!
Freaky Fast Fruit Dip
1 8 oz. container whipped topping (light or fat free)
1 16 oz. tub sour cream (light or fat free)
1 large box sugar free vanilla pudding mix
In a mixing bowl beat together puddding and sour cream. Beat well as it can be lumpy. If it’s for your own pleasure don’t worry about getting out the mixer, but if your aiming at impressing then I’d definitely use the electric mixer. When it’s smooth fold in the whipped topping and serve.
While this is an excellent dip you could also turn in into a great dessert parfait. Simply alternate layers of fruit and dip in a tall, pretty glass and serve with a spoon.
