The Checklist

I come from a meticulous and overly zealous list maker.  My mother made lists for her lists.  Okay, maybe she wasn’t that extreme, but they were EVERYWHERE!  I swore in my teenage years that I’d NEVER be a list maker.  Never.  Period.

I’ve held true to that statement for the most part, with the exception of the grocery list and…when I’m packing the family for a big trip.

Our annual Amarillo trip is coming up soon and with 5 people to get ready the only sane way to do it is with a checklist.

*Diapers

*Clothes

*Shoes

*Formula

*Coats

*Snacks

*and on, and on, and on, and on…

As much as this trip has snuck up on me this year, I’m actually ahead of the game.  Tucker and Ella are officially, already packed.

PHEWWWWW!!!!!

Two fewer people to worry about.

But….in all of my preparedness, we discovered last night that replacing the windshield in the car would have to be added to my checklist.

(Big sigh…..)

It’s always something, isn’t it?

Peace, love and checkmarks.
