What a beautiful day we had for our Easter celebration.
Tradition in our house starts with discovering what the Bunny left on the dining table, then waking Daddy up to tell him what the Bunny brought, eating a little candy while we wait for Daddy to get out of bed and have a cup of coffee (Grady’s not much of a morning person) and then heading out to hunt eggs in our pajamas. …and in this case, our sombrero…
Then we come back in, eat a little more candy for breakfast and then get gussied up for church.
We always enjoy Easter services with the boisterous music and a great message.
Tradition usually means that after church we head North to Grady’s Aunt Carolyn’s for an Easter feast, good company and conversation complete with an egg hunt for the little ones.
She took this egg hunting VERY seriously this year.
As much as he wanted to hunt the eggs he was more interested in playing tractors and “boy” things with his cousin, Coy. That’s okay. I think it’s a normal 6-year-old thing. He was happy with his candy.
We had such a great day. We ate WAY too much. Laughed at and with each other. Soaked up some much-needed sunshine and rejoiced in our Lord.
Peace, love and Resurrection!!!
